Salman Khan and Arijit Singh do not share a friendly equation, but that’s old news. The duo is, however, back to making headlines courtesy singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo.
The Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai crooner has reportedly taken a dig at Salman for taking Pakistani singer Atif Asalm, and not Arijit Singh, on board for the Tiger Zinda Hai song Dil Diyan Gallan.
“I not sure why Atif Aslam got to sing Dil Diya Gallan when for sure our very own Arijit could have done a much better job,” said Babul . He is also not happy with the fact that Salman has roped in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for Welcome to New York‘s track Ishtehaar.
Babul has also said it pains him to see that while Pakistan-sponsored terrorist groups kill our soldiers, FM stations played the track sung by a Pakistani singer. “The FM stations played the song galore while news channels announced the name of our soldiers martyred by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists,” Babul was quoted as saying in the report.
Babul also criticized Pakistani artistes who are popular in India courtesy their stints in Hindi films, saying they have never condemned any acts of terror carried out by Pakistan. “It’s pertinent to note that one cannot recall a single Pakistani artist made famous by Bollywood, condemn terror acts by Pakistan. Enough is enough now, ban them for their only crime that is being a Pakistani.”
